SpiritGem Gifts respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and what rights you have. We are the data controller for the information described here.

What we collect

When you place an order we collect your name, email address, delivery address, billing address and order details. Payment card details are handled directly by our payment providers and are never stored by us. If you contact us by email we keep that correspondence so we can help you.

Our website runs on Shopify, which collects standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages viewed, and uses cookies to keep your basket working and to understand how the site is used.

Why we use it

To take payment, make and deliver your order, answer your questions, prevent fraud, meet our legal and tax obligations, and if you have opted in, to send you occasional emails about new designs. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time using the link in any email.

Who we share it with

Only the parties needed to fulfil your order: our ecommerce platform (Shopify), payment processors, and delivery carriers such as Royal Mail. We do not sell your personal data to anyone, ever.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as required for accounting and tax purposes, normally six years. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email info@spiritgemgifts.com. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
